AFO, released at the same time as Viaemilia at the end of March 2007, was the second creation of Birrificio del Ducato. The history of this beer dates back to when Giovanni Campari, master brewer and founder of the brewery, came into contact for the first time with the character so new and irresistible of American hops.

Returning to his homeland, he decided to create the Ale of his dreams, which expressed a complex, fascinating but never usual bouquet.

To do this, he traveled between England and Germany, visiting hop growers and experimenting with very distant varieties, carrying out research in the olfactory territory of hops which finally resulted in the current AFO
